Jim Corbett National Park

Corbett National Park is one of Asia’s oldest national parks. Appropriately named after the world renowned Author and Wildlife Conservationist, “Jim Corbett” , it is place truly worth a visit. Located in the sub-Himalayan belt, in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, this park has been a major attraction for tourists and wild-life lovers since its inception. Some of the mammals found in this park are The Royal Bengal Tiger, The Himalayan Black Bear, Sloth Bear, Leopard and the Indian Elephant. It is also a haven for Bird lovers.    

There are a lot of forest guest houses that you can stay in this national park and experience the jungle from within. The Dhikala Forest Guest House is the most popular one, especially with photographers.

4 Days / 3 Nights  – 5 Safaris

Day 1
Arrive at the nearest airport or the nearest railway station and drive to lodge.  Enjoy your lunch and leave for the afternoon safari drive.  Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner.

Safaris: Afternoon Safari (Option of doing elephant safari)

Day 2 – Dhikala
Wake up and enjoy your breakfast. You can leave to spend the night at the Dhikala Forest Guest House.  The entire drive is through the jungle so it is a safari in it self.  Enjoy your lunch on the way at one of the other guest houses.  Finish your afternoon safari drive and reach Dhikala.  Return to the Dhikala forest guest house and enjoy your dinner.

Day 3
Wake up and leave for your morning safari drive in Dhikala. Enjoy your breakfast in the forest guest house.  Return to the lodge and rest before your next drive.  Enjoy your lunch and leave for the afternoon safari drive. Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner.

Day 4
Wake up and leave for your morning safari. Return to the lodge and enjoy your breakfast at the lodge.  Get ready and drive back to the nearest airport or railway station.

  • The park is open from the 15th of November to the 30th of June every year.  
  • There are only a limited number of safari permits available.  Hence it is advisable to book in well in advance.
  • Booking of the Forest Guest Houses are subject to availability.
  • Elephant safaris have to also be booked in advance due to limited availability.
  • The Park fees & rules are subject to change without prior notice.
  • As a government law, a copy of your identification proof will be required to reserve safaris.
  • As a government law, you will be required to carry your Original Identification proof during safaris.
