Dudhwa National Park

The Dudhwa Wildlife Sanctuary was converted to a national park in 1977 thanks to the efforts of Billy Arjan Singh. The national park is located in the Terai region of the northern state of Uttar Pradesh and is on the Indo-Nepal border. The forest mainly consists of tall Sal trees.  

Dudhwa National Park is popular for the One – Horned Rhino, Wild Elephants, the Fishing Cat, the Tiger and variety of Birds. You can also visit the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary which is popular for the elusive Tiger, the Swamp Deer and a variety of other deer like the Hog Deer.  Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary which can also be visited from here is one of the best places to see the Gharial and Dolphins.

5 Days / 4 Nights  – 5 Safaris

Day 1
Arrive at the nearest airport or the nearest railway station and drive to lodge. Rest day
Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2
Wake up and leave for your morning safari drive. Enjoy your breakfast in the jungle which will be packed for you on the drive.  Return to the lodge and rest before your next drive.  Enjoy your lunch and leave for the afternoon safari drive.  Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Safaris: Morning & Afternoon Safari (Option of safari in Dudhwa National Park or Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary)

Day 3
Wake up and leave for your morning safari drive. Enjoy your breakfast in the jungle which will be packed for you on the drive.  Return to the lodge and rest before your next drive.  Enjoy your lunch and leave for the afternoon safari drive.  Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner.

Safaris: Morning & Afternoon Safari (Option of safari in Dudhwa National Park or Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary)

Day 4
Wake up and leave for Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. Return to the lodge and enjoy your lunch and leave for the afternoon safari drive.  Relax the rest of the day.

Day 5
Wake up and enjoy your breakfast at the lodge.  Get ready and drive back to the nearest airport or railway station

  • The park is open from the 15th of November to the 30th of June every year.
  • There are only a limited number of safari permits available.  Hence it is advisable to book in well in advance.
  • The Park fees & rules are subject to change without prior notice.
  • As a government law, a copy of your identification proof will be required to reserve safaris.
  • As a government law, you will be required to carry your Original Identification proof during safaris.
